What is dHTML?
DHTML is a new Web technology that brings we pages alive with animation and interactivity.
DHTML is HTML that can change even after a page has been loaded into a browser.
While dHTML utilizes JavaScript, it is NOT any one specific technology. It is NOT a tag, a plug-in, or a browser. It is a concept that has been enabled by a number of technologies, including:
- VBScript
- Javascript
- The Document Object Model (DOM)
- Cascading Sytle Sheets (css)
Microsoft and Netscape both suport Dynamic HTML, but in slightly differnet ways.
HTML is what you change
The DOM is what make it changeable
Client-side scripting is what actually changes it.
